Costa Rican in Latin music festival

The Costa Rican pianist, Jose Pablo Quesada, will participate in the XV Latin American Music Festival to be held in Caracas, Venezuela.

The activity will take place from May 16 to the 25 at the La Estancia Art Center in the Venezuelan capital.

Quesada has the opportunity to present himself as a soloist this year in the premiere of the work Concerto No.1, by the Guatemalan composer, Dieter Lehnhoff.

Scientific Park at the UNA

The National University of Costa Rica (UNA by its initials in Spanish) will have a science park donated by China very soon.

A mission from the Asian country, led by the deputy secretary general of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Zheng Guoan, visited the university campus this past June to assess the conditions for the installation of the park.

Organic shoes?

A group of young students from the career of industrial design of the Technological Institute of Costa Rica (ITCR by its initials in Spanish) created shoes from organic products as part of their final projects in their current methods of product development course.

On March 15 the life of David Alvarado ended. He was only 16 years old, but this young man died after receiving three bullet impacts for defending a friend. New Majors at the ITCR

The Technological Institute of Costa Rica (ITCR by its initials in Spanish) launched two new majors for 2009. They are in Computer Engineering and Information Technology management.
