The well-known and "eccentric" businessman, Leonardo Farkas was given number 88 in one of the first trips into space to be held by 2010. The quirky businessman, owner of Minera Santa Fe, who celebrated his 40th birthday with Air Supply and KC and The Sunshine Band, entered as the first person in the whole South American continent to travel into space.
It was two months ago that Cocha travel agency, representative in Chile for the company Virgin Galactic, offered Farkas an opportunity to integrate himself into the select civilian crew of the space ship Starship Two. But Farkas had not made a final decision due to his fear of getting dizzy.
The businessman paid about $400 thousand to reserve two tickets. "I did not want to be in the first flights because this is potentially dangerous, so it's better for someone else to have that record. They sought me out because they know I like to do different things," explained the mining businessman.
