Prepaid cell phone lines are held up

The General Accounting Office in Costa Rica annulled the contract for prepaid cell phone lines that the Costa Rican Institute of Electricity (ICE by its initials in Spanish) had awarded to Ericsson of Costa Rica.

Teachers will be trained in Ox Handling or “Boyeo” as it is called in Spanish

The Active Citizenship Association and the Association of Graduates and Teachers will give a course of 20 hours on November 1 and 15, with the idea of training teachers for both primary and secondary school in Costa Rica on the tradition of “Boyeo and Carreta,” or ox handling and carts.

An artist who captures the Chaos and color of a modern city

The artist, Carlos Tapia, from Costa Rica is convinced that it is necessary to use a lot of color and many elements in the given space to tell stories about the American continent.

Crisis Hits Construction

Santa Rosa National Park is repopulated by white-faced Capuchin and Howler monkeys

The Santa Rosa National Park, in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, has a greater number of white-faced Capuchin and Howler monkeys each day.

The count was conducted by researcher Linda Fedigan of the University of Calgary (Canada) and indicates that as the years have passed, there are more specimens of these two species of primates.

In 1972 there were 85 Howler and 300 white-faced Capuchin monkeys. The number rose to 620 Howler and 740 white-faced Capuchin monkeys.
