The refitting had a cost of ¢85 million that were invested by the Municipality of Cartago, which had the permission of the Instituto Costarricense de Ferrocarriles-INCOFER-(by its initials in Spanish, owner of the building) overseen by the Center for Research and Conservation at the Ministry of National Heritage, Culture and Youth.
